We just got back in the country and Dave's was the first thing we wanted! We ordered delivery (because #jetlag) and it came quickly and just as delicious! The #3 (1 tender and 1 slider + fries) is the perfect amount for one hungry person. The chicken actually has a nice kick of spice, and it's tender and juicy beneath the crispy coating! Make sure you add pickles to your sandwich too for extra crunch and tang!
There are several shops in Denver that are serving up a delicious fried chicken sandwich, but Daves Hot Chicken is one of the best to do it! The location is perfectly situated on South Broadway in between all the bars and shops. We ordered the Dave's #2 which consists of 2 Sliders w/ Fries. Couldn't decide whether to get the cheese or not on my slider and I know what your thinking, "Do you know how many miles I'd need to run on the treadmill to burn off those extra calories from the cheese!?". Well I am here to tell you I got the cheese and boy am I glad that I did. For the chicken, I went for the Extra hot but hey I think I'll go for the reaper next time. Cheese or not, I could go for Daves Hot Chicken again and that's a fact.
Rude staff. Paid $6 for cheese fries that took 10 minutes to make and tell me why they had no cheese on them???? how are you going to charge $6 for cheese fries and not put cheese on them? When i called the staff was rude and even thought i wasn't be rude and my tone wasn't rude he told me to "calm down" cause i was explaining that $6 for cheeseless fries is ridiculous. The staff laughed me at the phone and it's clear they're very miserable and the only power they have is when they clock into work. will never be back.
Location was clean in the eating areas, visited around 4p on a Thursday. Ordered a two strip and a 10 piece meal, both mild. Food came out quickly. The chicken was disappointing. It was over seasoned, cakey, had no flavor. The mustard sauce didn't help the flavor either. We ate the fries and pickles.
