Hot chicken is still all the rage right now so finding Dave's on a whim was a pleasant surprise for lunch! I tried the slider/tender combo medium spice. Chicken was nice and juicy with a great little kick. I also enjoyed that the chicken wasn't drenched in sauce but instead had a dry rub. The combo came with seasoned fries, pickles, a piece of white bread, and Dave's sauce. The seasoned fries were great dipped in their signature sauce. The slider was bigger than expected so I have leftovers for lunch! Can't wait!

Oh my goodness, I thought Raisin' Caine's was the best fried chicken until I tried Dave's! I went with a friend on a Saturday night (late) and it was BUSY. The location is prime - right off of broadway, and they are opening up a second one on Nov 11th in Denver. Plenty of seating inside even with it being busy. I got 2 tenders with fries combo. It was one of the very few places that was open in Denver downtown post 10:30 PM. We really enjoy trying hot chicken in the places we visit and this was definitely one the best. We can handle spicy food but the reaper was insane. I would advice folks to start with a hot chicken sandwich and may be try that extra hot chicken tender for the adventure but keep that limited for a calmer morning.

I come to Denver at least twice a year. Every time I do visit, I stop by Dave's Hot Chicken at least once, twice if I'm here for a few days. I've stopped at the LA location as well. It's that good. They've never disappointed. The hot is freaking hot and I love it. The tenders are always a good size with not too much batter. The pickles are fresh, gourmet pickles with a good snap to them. The food is Amazing, the food travels very well out to 45 minutes except the fries. Highly recommend you try any of the 3 combos, preferably there or eat near for the best experience. Mild or hot are perfect for flavor and spice, anything hotter you probably would not enjoy.
