TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

Oh Dave's, I love you so. You can always count on Dave's for some delicious hot chicken! For a chain, Dave's consistently delivers delicious food. Super impressive! I'm a Howlin Rays girlie but I will never say no to Dave's. I love that there are mix n match combos in which you can mix n match the heat levels of chicken. My favorite is the 1 slider and 1 tender combo. Daves hot chicken is always crunchy, juicy, and flavorful. It's never dry or soggy or unseasoned! Plus their sauce is delicious! Been here a few times and I feel like it's been better some times over others. I've always taken the food to go so I can't say i've eaten it "fresh" but I think that's the typical experience for a place like this. It tastes pretty good and if I feel like grabbing some hot chicken instead of cooking for the night- this is a pretty good option.
