TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

When I read the reviews - I was pretty confused with the inconsistency. People had opinions all across the board! But after trying it, I definitely can see why - and for the most part I agree. I got the hot chicken with one sandwich and one tender and fries. I will say my first bite with Amazing!!! I have not had a hot chicken satisfy my craving like this sandwich did. The slickness level was pretty weak for Hot but I wasn't here to kill my tastebuds. The potato bun that came with the sandwich honestly enhanced the meal a ... read more
The chicken sandwich here has freaking amazing! Highly recommend! Juicy chicken, and the sauce is good af.
Decent fried chicken in case you want a mix-up from Hot Chicken Takeover or Canes. I finally got the chance to try this place after waiting a few weeks for the lines to die down a little, and was pleased with what I found. To put it concisely, the food was pretty good; not spectacular, but definitely satisfying and worth a stop. The chicken was cooked and seasoned well, although it was slightly on the greasier side compared to the other chicken-based restaurants in the area. The spiciness definitely enhanced the flavor a lot... read more
Probably the best chicken sandwich I've ever had. I got the Dave's #2 Hot which was more than I could eat. One slider and fries would have been plenty
I bought the sliders meal. It was fine. I felt like the ratio of chicken to breading was off - not enough good meaty bites. Good crisp on the chicken, though. The fries were also good. You do get a good amount of food, too. For those wondering about heat levels - mild is an accurate name. Not a ton of heat, but some good flavor.
The food was amazing I want to thank Houston because he is so amazing of his customer service his smile his attitude is out of this world
Delicious food, friendly service, and clean environment! The only downside from my visit was the long wait time (around 30 mins in the winter weather) for ordering, but I expected it since it was opening day. Whether it's at this location or back home in LA, I will certainly revisit. Also, see attached for my order. Dave's #2: 2 sliders, cheese, fries, kale slaw, pickles, and Dave's sauce. Dave's #3: 1 tender with sliced bread, 1 slider, fries, kale slaw, pickles, and Dave's sauce. Mac & cheese on the side
Wowza this place is so good! And they have online ordering/pickup which is super convenient and helps you avoid the line. Tried the slider plus tender and subbed the fries for Mac and cheese. I got both the tender and slider medium, my husband got his hot. The medium was less spicy than I anticipated but had a good amount of spice. I would say if you're in between a mild vs medium go with the medium. The Mac and cheese is also extra cheesy and delicious.
Very good chicken, some the best, if not the best since I've moved to Cleveland (will take recommendations). The levels of spice are quite fun to explore, I've found hot to be my sweet spot but wouldn't recommend if you didn't like heat. Juicy crunchy chicken, what's not to like.
