Stopped by for some lunch, I was craving chicken, and realized I never tried Dave's Hot Chicken before. Everytime I go to a "hot chicken" place I always get their hottest option. With that being said I settled for the "Reaper" option, and MAN did I get what I asked for. First they made me sign a waiver before allowing me to purchase my meal, which is intimidating enough, especially because no place I've been to has ever required my signature just to eat some spicy food. I've been here several times now and I have seen some improvement over the last year. I'm glad I decided to give them another before giving my review. I have been here for lunch a few times as I worked down the street and late night for dinner once. My daytime experiences have been much better than my evening experiences. They don't get very busy during lunchtime, which is kind of concerning, but also helpful for me because I don't have to wait very long at all for my food. Ordered 2 strips meal and kale slaw. The tenders were juicy in the middle but too dry and crunchy on the ends. The lite mild flavor was not spicy and very flavorful. It came with 2 slices of white bread and sauce as well as honey packets. The kale slaw was amazing, very tasty. Unfortunately the portion size was very small for the price. I would order again but might try the sliders instead. We ordered delivery and the food arrived hot and was well packaged.

I love the flavor of their chicken. Juicy and moist inside and crunchy on the outside. I'm not sure if their hot got less spicy because I was able to tolerate it way better than before so if this stays that way I won't be ordering medium anymore because spicy is where it's at!

I usually love getting food at Dave's hot chicken especially the one that is near my house back in Columbus. I was in town and decided to get it to go so I could have it back at my hotel for lunch. I ended up just getting a single slider with a side of fries because I feel like the 2 sliders is too much food for me.
