About this business

TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

So juicy! We ordered a #3, and then an extra tender and sandwich, everything medium. I will say the medium spiciness was a little too much for me, so if you don't love spicy food I would recommend mild. The chicken was amazing though. Perfectly crispy and juicy, fries were so crunchy, and the Dave's signature sauce was a little bit sweet to balance it all out.

This food at this was delicious. Chicken was juicy and flavorful. There was different levels of spiciness to choose from (i picked Hot). French fries was crispy which complimented the main entree. When we went, it was packed yet the wait wasn't long. The employees were kind so good customer service as well.

In a strip plaza in the Waterford Lakes area and very VERY small. That's the headline here. A slow-moving line with one person running one register and approximately 27,000 people in the kitchen area. So. It's chicken tenders and fries. They do offer a slider which is a tender on a bun with pickles and their very blah sauce. Absolutely nothing special and NOT worth the wait. The chicken and fries were a good quality and the tenders are large and flavorful. I got the medium seasoning on mine. I like spicy and this was not sp... read more

We tried it for lunch and were pleasantly surprised with how great everything was! The process from ordering to receiving our food was done in a timely manner, and the staff were all very kind. We enjoyed the food! We tried both the no spice and the hot and liked both! I personally don't like spicy things, so the no spice was what I was looking for. We also really liked the suave that came with the meals. Overall we really enjoyed our meal, and will be returning in the future!

I tried Dave's Hot Chicken for lunch. Since it was my first time I ordered # 1 with two chicken tenders and fries and pickles and two slices of white bread. Since I like spicy food I ordered one tender hot and one extra hot. The chicken is great. Thick piece of chicken is tasty and moist and juicy. Coating not too thick. The hot is spicy. I really like the taste of the spice. Hard to describe since it is unlike anything I've tasted before. The extra hot sane and it did bring a tear to my eye being extra hot. Pickles very goo... read more

5 Stars for the staff, the food and the concept, but 2 stars for the size of this location. I was happy it was taking over the old Crisper's location which was huge, but apparently they cut it in half (or thirds) as this place is small. Dave's is right behind 5 Guys and Marlow's Tavern if you're looking for it. I got there about 11:30a on a Sunday and the dining room was already full and there were quite a few people waiting for their food. The "owner" was greeting people at the door, cheering on his team and was nice to... read more

Dave's hot chicken was worth the hype! I got the #1, which included 2 tenders, fries, pickles, 2 slices of toast, and Dave's sauce. You're able to do two different spice levels for each tender, which I wasn't aware of, but nice to know for the future! I played it safe and got medium heat, which wasn't spicy at all tbh, definitely going to kick it up a notch next time. The "spicy-ness" of the tenders is like a dry rub so definitely a lighter spice to it in my opinion. I would definitely recommend adding some of the honey they... read more

I got the chicken tender sliders with no spice because I don't like spicy things but I didn't know that would also mean no taste. The bread however was really good and so were their seasoned fries.

:) I went to Dave's hot chicken because I love hot chicken , I think the price is amazing I believe it was $13.99 for 2 sliders and fries . I Hate fries but I LOVE Dave's fries. I am a person who loves spicy food I tried hot and extra hot and It didnt burn at all obviously taste level is subjective I heard a guy next to me saying hot was too hot but it's possible that he just doesn't eat hot food. Let me put it in perspective At CHICKEN FIRE I usually get a medium & mild and my mouth is BURNING At Dave's I have hot &... read more
