TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

Day Two Review: Rock solid chicken properly seasoned. The kale slaw in the sandwich is refreshing and complements the spice. Fries are good but not elite. The only mild (unlike the delicious spicy tenders) issue is the wildly different tender sizes on the sliders. When you get a dud it's definitely a dud compared to the others. Kiashani (sp) was especially kind.
They opened yesterday so had to give this place a try. Nice having hot chicken in the Waterford lakes. They are located behind Marlowes. I ordered number 1 which is 2 tenders and fries. I chose hot for my flavor. Ok if you want heat chose the next two above hot. It had great flavor and not to much heat, they wasn't saucy. Los Angels based chicken restaurant chain that finally arrived in Orlando. Dave's Hot Chicken has a wide variety of spice levels from no spice to reaper level (as someone who ventured to try the reaper I can definitively say that it was very spicy). The sliders are a nice size and the fries are decent. If you are into eating spicy chicken sandwiches definitely keep this place on your radar. Overall, I recommend!
I was so excited to try Dave's Hot Chicken that I showed up a week before they opened. I couldn't get in, but that made me crave it more. I finally tried it, and I can't say it was what I was expecting. The chicken itself was the thing that Dave's Hot Chicken got right. It had good flavor (it didn't seem over or undercooked), but its seasoning is where it fell short. Let me start by saying- I really wanted to love this place. I've been looking forward to the opening since I saw their name on the building. A new hot chicken place?! Heck yes!
