I had delivery so didn't see in store. The medium heat chicken sliders were great. They had a good quality bun. The chicken breading was spicy and crunchy with moist perfectly cooked meat. The crinkle fries were nicely seasoned. I will be back A+

Nashville's spicy recipe is a must for fans of fried chicken and a treat for those who find others' "spicy" preparations anything but, and Dave's delivers! This bird's heat comes from a dry rub available in six levels from "no spice" (does that even count?) to "reaper." A nice side effect of the rub vs. a hot sauce is it's less likely to burn coming out which fans of spicy food know is a big plus! Was randomly driving around Milwaukee and decided to stop in. Had a great meal for a cheap price. I had the hot chicken sandwich and for me it was just the right amount of burn.

It wasn't terrible overall but could definitely be better. Staff was helpful and pretty nice but they weren't what brings the rating down. It was more so the overall value that hurts the worst. I'm not a fan of dry rub flavoring to start off but the taste was mediocre at best. A mild flavor isn't supposed to taste like bbq but that's what we got here. Omg this place is amazing. My teenage boys love this place. My oldest is picking colleges based on if there's a Dave's hot chicken close to campus. He always orders super hot. I can't handle that level of spice. I normally just get medium. What's interesting is that the Menomonee falls branch is much less spicer than the east side version. If I'm in the falls I will order hot. If I'm on the east side I'm ordering medium. Basically adjust your spice levels by one if you eat in Milwaukee vs Menomonee falls. I guess... read more

I had my doubts at first because of how competitive the chicken industry has become after the "spicy chicken sandwich war" and everyone trying to innovate new ways to be unique. Dave's Hot Chicken allows you to pick a spice level of your choosing and curates a lovely meal with the most tender/crispy pieces of chicken battered in spice, giving the chicken a "red" and "flavorful" look. We ordered for delivery and it was delicious! Obviously it's a risk ordering anything to go as the food isn't fresh from the kitchen. Even so, this was so good. I am not good with spicy things, so the mild lite was perfect for me. I could probably go up a notch and get mild next time. My husband loves spice! I underestimated this place! I had heard of it but never tried it. The new location in Milwaukee has been open a few months now and it always seems decently busy. It's also clearly racked up a good amount of great reviews- and they did not lie. I ordered online late on a Sunday night and went into the store to pick up about 10 minutes later when the order was stated to have been ready. Dave's hot chicken is great! I got the special that comes with 2 hot chicken sliders, fries, pickles, and Dave's sauce. I also added cheese to both sliders. The chicken was tender and the spice level was perfect. It wasn't so spicy that it took over but it was more like a spicy flavor.
