TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

I waited for almost 30 minutes in the drive thru and watched while 3 of the employees were texting on their phone and joking around. While I was waiting one of the employees found something in the drain that looked like a mouse and one of them pulled it out of the drain with their work gloves on. First time trying a Daves's. Young man was rude not helpful when I said this is the first time I've been in a Daves so not sure what I want. No one was behind me and only two other people in there. So I ended up ordering just two chicken tenders, fries and a drink. It took 15 minutes to get my order. My husband and I sat down to eat and wow! We could smell the cayenne and paprika a mile away! Got here at drive thru right when they opened at 10:30am. I was the first car at the drive thru. I ordered a combo #3, but it took forever to get my food. I didn't get the food until 10:55. I don't understand why it took 25 minutes to get my order and nobody checked on me and let me know the status. Horrible customer service.
Do not go here every time I come here it takes them more than 20 minutes to complete my order this time around was the last I waited at the drive-through window for 15 minutes with ignored. I sat there, staring at my food already completed in the bag, but nobody came to take my money I will never go here again actually it was roughly 30 minutes I waited before I gave up . They need better employees and management . Thanks for waisting my time . Won't happen again
The food was good and the service was eh! My real issue is with the fact that restaurants now are separating the drink to make you spend more $ not a huge complaint but just my opinion. If you sell HOT chicken the drink should probably be included...
ordered mac and cheese. they literally just gave me a CUP OF CHEESE! NO MAC! ?????? chicken was mediocre and they give you basic white bread slices for the bread ???? ripoff. go somewhere else. 2/10
My wife and I were excited to go and try Dave's Chicken in Folsom, CA about 6 months ago. We went there on a Wednesday afternoon and there wasn't a lot of people. We noticed that there was only one table with 3 people sitting at it. There was an older lady and her son in front of us and a guy behind us on the order line. Food taste 10/10 Freshness 10/10 Texture 10/10 Environment 10/10 (I gave a five star to FOOD ONLY. But the Employees were garbage, their attitude was horrible. Super rude teenagers who demand you for tip. I handed a 20 dollar bill to this kid for a 12 dollar order and he stared at me dead in my eyes and said "you want the change" Like seriously? Tips are honored based on service, I'm not obligated to tip anyone! So please except to get annoyed by their attitude.
8/12/23 Drive thru for a hot #3 meal for my oldest boy! 5/29/23 My teenager son (declaring myself old here lol) watched some YouTube influencer and they were hyping this hot chicken spot up so he was craving and raving about how this biz compares to Roostarz.
