TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

My husband has been been reading about this newer restaurant that has hit the Madison area. We happened to be close by around the lunch hour so took the opportunity to try it out. Food is great, way better than Chick-fil-A! Place was very clean and new looking. Staff was very friendly and food came out quick. I like the spicy options. I tolerate spice pretty well and that Hot level was just right for me. Any more it would have been a challenge to get through.
Wow, Wow, Wow. This was hands down the best chicken sandwich I have ever had, and I could set a Guinness record for the most chicken sandwiches eaten. After the chicken is fried to perfection, it's dusted in spices for an extra flavor explosion in your mouth. I got mine mild, which had a subtle, tangy heat although not too spicy. Wow - I have had Nashville Hot Chicken, and this is a close second. Hot is HOT, go for the mild if you are not a serious heat lover. And next levels are FIRE. Love it. Oh, the fries are DARN Good Yum.
Dave's was absolutely delicious! I love that you can get anything from zero spice to incredibly spicy. The sauce is the best part - make sure you get enough! The fries are seasoned perfectly.
I've been here a couple of times, and the chicken is excellent. The sliders have a slightly sweet bun and excellent coleslaw on top of them. The Dave's sauce is a real nice addition to fries and for the strips. The first time I wentI had the hot and it was decent. The second time I went I had the extra hot and the reaper. These were both extremely hot. I was sweating while eating them great spice, but I could still taste the chicken. H this is ighly recommend this place.
