TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

We have been wanting to try Dave's Hot Chicken. It reminds me of Raising Cane's, but with seven levels of heat level from "No Spice" to "Reaper." If you can tolerate heat, give this place a try. We tried the lite mild chicken sliders, and it was the perfect amount of heat for me. The chicken is juicy, and the slaw and pickles add extra flavoring. I like it! Hungry late at night, I drove past this place and decided to drop in. I appreciate that some places stay open a bit longer than others since I'm often working late at night. It also happens that I just returned from Nashville... so I still had Nashville hot chicken on my mind. I ducked in pretty close to closing time (15 mins before?). Delicious! I am not a huge chicken sandwich lover but this place is now on my rotation. Love how juicy the chicken is. Love the spice level "hot" it gets me sweating but not too spicy. Don't think I'll be brave enough to try anything hotter though. Fountain soda has pebble ice which is my favorite. Highly recommend this place
