TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

First of all, this is the second time I've had Dave's Hot Chicken and it was just as amazing as it was the first time. The place could have been a mess and service awful and I would still give it 5 stars for the food alone. But tonight topped it all because not alone is the inside clean and inviting, they had great music playing (extra brownie points for that), but the service was top notch. Service was decent has a welcoming feeling and menu was very good for your dollar lots of spicy chicken and French fries and shakes and tea to choose from.

I have come here consistently and am usually pretty happy with the food received. Yesterday, I visited the drive thru around 6:15p and ordered the #4. Food came cooked, fries were not fresh like they usually are though! I would have usually asked for more, but I'd already left. 3.5 stars, pending return and quality then! The customer service though is literally always
