TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

Dave's Hot Chicken is delicious! I've had it twice now and ordered for takeout both times. My husband ordered in person the first time, and I ordered on the app the second time. Our orders were accurate and food was perfectly prepared both times. I prefer the tenders and hubby prefers the slider. The chicken is perfect and flavor is intense - but in a good way. OMG OMG OMG the chicken breast tenders were so moist and juicy and Cooked to perfection *they don't cook the chicken until you order so please be patient. It's worth it. *if you're in a hurry you can order on line to eat in or take out.

I met my friend Eric at this Dave's Hot Chicken Restaurant tonight at 7 p.m. This restaurant was extremely crowded inside and was a really long line of people waiting to be served at the front counter. Huge portions is always a plus and this place serves them up. Ordered the 2 tender combo and that was enough for one person. The slider is pretty much a tender in a bun, which is basically a sandwich itself. We had the mild and hot and the spicy level in the hot was 7/10. They have their own dipping sauce which is almost a honey mustard tinge. The one complaint would be that they dont offer ranch but thats not a huge blow to their food or service.
