Had planned on getting Rubio's for lunch but when I got there, saw that they were temporarily closed due to construction. Thankfully, there was a Dave's next door. Ordered the Slider, medium spice. Quick service and yummy per usual. Will be back for lunch when I'm in the area.

Every time we go the food is great. There is usually a line to order so I recommend you order on the app to avoid the long lines. The chicken is always juicy.

I do not recommend eating in if you think a full 20 minutes for a Dave's #2 is too long of a wait with whatever delivery orders are in front of you. The food is good but they need to step up production if they are going to stay in business. Because cold chicken sandwiches do not turn into repeat business.

Dave's is located on the corner of College Blvd and Oceanside Blvd where Baskin Robbins used to be. The parking lot has a good amount of spaces but it's tight and can get crowded. When Rubio's reopens next door I imagine it'll be tougher to find a spot. Each time I've been to this location it's been busy but the line moves steadily. The restaurant is well lit and they play a lot of throwback music. The cashiers have always been friendly, helpful and not stingy with the sauces.
