TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

First time having Dave's Hot Chicken. I went through the drive thru and was assisted by Maria. She was incredibly sweet and walked me through the process of ordering. I received my meal within minutes and drove away. The food smelled sooooooo good I could not stop myself from opening up the box. I started with a cheese fry. I'm biased. I love cheese. I love fries. The food was alright, but don't order the spicy one, it's too strong. The main reason I didn't rate it higher is because they kept asking us to give it a 5 star review and it was annoying.
Very good juicy chicken. Love the spice and the flavor. Founder worked at French Laundry. And I can tell. Kudos.
