We moved from Nashville 6 years ago and have missed its famous hot chicken. We tried Dave's today, and gave it two thumbs up! I ordered the slider meal; don't let the term "slider" throw you though. This is a full size sandwich! The chicken is to die for, and there's a nice sauce and kale slaw and crisp dill pickles packed inside a toasted bun. The krinkle cut fries were crisp and seasoned, adding a great complement to the sandwich. Finding a hot chicken place that compares to Nashville hot chicken has made my day!

TLDR: average chicken shop, gets the job done. 3 stars due to this being average and acceptable but nothing exceptional or above and beyond The location is in a great spot close to the mall and anything else in the area you could want. The selection is pretty basic with their choices, but not like you need much more in a place that serves fried chicken. This place is totally happening and pretty busy, but they get the orders out fast too. The seating is limited but they have inside and outside seating. The staff are very friendly and happy to be there. I know the place is new but it would be cool if they could inform better about the hot levels. The slider was amazing and I highly recommend you add the cheese to it. The cheese fries are also pretty good but the regular fries are great if you don't want to pay extra. We were in the area and decided to check out the hype! Off the gate, this place is very fun & urban. It reminded me of the colorful gateway wall. The service was great and staff was very friendly! Service was verrry quick even with them being a full house! The food was great! The chicken was juicy, the fries were crispy & seasoned and the Mac & Cheese was cheesy and creamy! Not from Utah and love Dave's hot chicken out of state, it's one of our favorite places. Our experience started out rough at the Orem location when the line was out the door and only one register was open. We understand this place is new but we were waiting for an absurd amount of time. After almost 15-20 min of waiting in the line that didn't seem to be moving we realized it was because the guy at the register was taking an average of 4 min with every customer and was the only one taking orders. This was a tricky one for me- I frequently visit pretty bird so unfortunately I feel like my review is slightly biased based on my love for that. I ordered two chicken strips with melted cheese... it was just ok? Seasoning didn't have a ton of flavor and the actual meat had a few questionable pieces.
