My son insisted on trying. He got the hot. I got the medium. Although the chicken was tender, I felt like the coating seasoning was just a powder and not really that tasty or desirable.

NEVER AGAIN After seeing all the hype of this new restaurant , I finally tried Dave's Hot Chicken. What a HOT MESS! The chicken tenders had no seasoning other than what I would guess was a dry rub of bitter chili powder. It was awful. They came on a slice of white bread with a side of bland sauce. The pickles helped me choke it down. The fries were the best thing. Very expensive! Almost $13.00 and I did not even get a drink. Founder, Dave is a supposed "chef". Doubtful. The employees were nice. The chicken was moist and tender, but the rub is bitter chili powder. I expected far better flavor for the hype. The portion was decent, but it is expensive. Over $26 for two people, with no drinks! I won't be back.

I don't get it...who eats let alone serves unseasoned chicken. Guess the hype is in the size of the tenders but they are absolutely flavorless. I ordered the medium & basically it's a dry rob of paprika & I'm guessing cayenne pepper. But not a single grain of salt or season on the chicken or in the rub. Then served with mayo/ketchup??? Food was absolutely disgusting and dry. Chicken had a cardboard taste. I thought it was going to be good based on the reviews from other people. But no sadly mistaken.

Very expensive for the little you get, medium heat is almost to spicy so go for mild or no heat, it would be good if there was not so much dry rub on it you might as well have a spoonful of cinnamon, not sure if I'd go back or recommend.

Went here when they had first opened, the service was amazing but the food just wasn't worth the price, it was $50 for 6 chicken tenders, and the hot sauce was more like ketchup.. the chicken itself was ok but just not $50 for 6 tenders good.. was really disappointed

Wife and I were always passing Dave's Hot Chicken as it was being built on the old Pizza Hut space on Route 30 here in York. The hype and line of customers lined up were impressive when they did open, so we decided to try them when the lines died down.
