My little brother and I were in the area, and he recommended this place since he had already tried it at another location. I decided to follow his lead, and we both ordered the tender slider meal with fries. We also paid extra for the cheese sauce for the fries. One thing I really like is that you can customize the spice level on the chicken tenders. That's especially nice for my wife because she's not a big fan of spicy food. Dave's Hot Chicken has become one of my go-to spots when I'm craving something spicy! The chicken is consistently moist, juicy, and packed with flavor, and the Hot spice level is my sweet spot; enough heat to make you feel it without drowning out the chicken. The tender and slider combo is elite IMO. You get the loaded slider with Dave's sauce, pickles, and slaw, plus a big seasoned tender on the side. Best of both worlds and easily my usual order. Dave's Hot Chicken absolutely delivers. The food is incredible. Crispy, juicy, and packed with heat that actually has depth. Customer service was fantastic, friendly, and on point. As close to true Nashville hot chicken as you'll get without making the drive to Tennessee.

Dang it, I didn't want to like Dave's but I do. Thought it would be a pricey gimmick but it is actually a great value! Plus everyone from the drive thru and pickup have been really nice! I've visited thinking that I would be able to point and say "Ahaa'! But instead I said "mm hmm" I don't really challenge myself with the hottest spice levels because I'm hungry and just want to inhale what I order. I think medium is perfect. We have eaten at Dave's a few times. Food is tasty (my hubby always orders the chicken and I order the not-chicken). The not-chicken (cauliflower) is really good, especially at a hot spice level. Employees are usually very friendly and the place is always clean (sometimes it's a little sticky by the pop machine, but that is to be expected). My only complaint is that they need to crank the a/c in the summer because it gets very hot in there. Eating hot wings in a sauna is crazy.
