The chicken is so overly seasoned. It is a thick moist rub that just falls off the chicken and it overpowers the meat. It's just a stick of wet seasoning. Too much. Over priced. Milkshakes are just milk. Nothing cold about it.

Here's the thing, the first 3 times I had Dave's I would rate it 4 or 5 stars. Their food is pretty tasty. But oh boy, this last time was a journey of pain. The second tender tasted a little off...but I ate it any way. That was probably top ten biggest mistakes of my life, and I am a man that got his nipples pierced on a dare. We don't normally eat fast food anymore but we decided to try this place. The prices were too high and the food...meh. I ate my mild seasoned chicken but it was one of those things where the first two bites were good and then the rest was too much. Something that you crave and then ask yourself "why did I eat that?" Went here last night to pick up food.....we decided to give it a second chance, still disappointed. The food is average....but the customer service was horrible! The chicken we ordered was advertised at $40...rang up for $45 the fries advertised at $10...rang up for $12.50 (all pre tax mind you) . Poor experience on my first visit so I probably won't be returning. While the texture and crunch on the chicken was great I was left choking on the seasoning they dust the chicken with. The person working at the register was a little awkward and not great at making suggestions of what to order off their limited menu as a first time customer

First and last time for us. My kids and husband are not picky eaters at all, they'll try almost anything at least once. This place opened up not that long ago and all we've been hearing about is Dave's Hot Chicken so away we went to try it. None of us were impressed. Greasy chicken and cheap freezer fries. Expensive. Meal does not include drink. It's difficult to get out of there for less than $15 for a lunch. Seating area is small and noisy. Very good service and everything seems very clean.
