TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

Dave's Hot Chicken was absolutely delicious. The chicken was incredibly crispy and juicy, and the Cajun fries were fantastic. I even tried a bit of kale slaw. Wow, it was all so good.
The food was very tasty, there are different levels of heat to choose from. This location looks clean and well maintained. The service time was okay nothing to complain about. I wish they had more kid options but adults and teenagers would like what they serve.

It's nice to have a new fast food option in town. I had the #4 slider with fries. The chicken is juicy. The slaw is a nice compliment. I love a potato bun. Fries are okay. You can choose your heat level, I did medium since it was my first time there and it was still pretty hot. Filling portion. I'll definitely go back.

Drake's Dave's Hot Chicken came to Tampa early this year ('24). Located just south of Raymond James, it's the newest and hottest chicken I've tried recently. It's fast casual, order at the counter and your beeper will buzz when it's ready. We took our two to go. It's kind of expensive for casual food. As had two combo meals, a soda and shake and the order was $38, (kiosk gives option to tip). It's quick, and hot. This is not for me, but my teenage son liked it.
