Drake's Dave's Hot Chicken came to Tampa early this year ('24). Located just south of Raymond James, it's the newest and hottest chicken I've tried recently. It's fast casual, order at the counter and your beeper will buzz when it's ready. We took our two to go. It's kind of expensive for casual food. As had two combo meals, a soda and shake and the order was $38, (kiosk gives option to tip). It's quick, and hot. This is not for me, but my teenage son liked it.

Great for something different. Brined Chicken tenders. The medium chicken is hot enough! No need for hotter. They make you sign a waiver for the reaper...proceed with caution!

amazing food service! Good job, Dean! I loved how tasty and juicy the chicken was!! Also, it's rare to find halal options in town!

Dave's Hot Chicken recently opened up, so when looking for some lunch the outside design immediately stood out to me. The inside had a great vibe, there was a great crowd and the designs in the inside walls is very true to Tampa. We ordered the Chicken Dave's #3 1 Tender & 1 Slider w/ Fries. The server asked if we wanted it "Hot". I thought to myself, "This is Dave's Hot Chicken, not Dave's Mild Chicken". So, I stayed true and went with hot. This chicken spot is a nicer fast food experience. They have a drive through and inside option but we opted to eat inside which had a nice mural. The chicken was really juicy and fried perfectly, we ordered "hot" and it definitely lived up to the name, next time I would probably order "medium" cause it was a little too spicy for me but it was definitely delicious. They also give you honey and Dave's sauce which both complement the chicken perfectly. I didn't try the sandwich but my fiancé said it was great also.
