Dave's is a fun new and casual addition to the Vestavia area. I was able to visit Dave's on opening night and again more recently. I agree with other reviews that Sliders are a hearty size, more of a chicken sandwhich. I like that they have a range of spice levels. I do enjoy spicy food and did not think the medium was spicy. Also, I really enjoy their Dave's house sauce. A solid spot for hot chicken craving.

This place always gets the food on point! From the sandwiches to the kids tenders and macaroni. Everything is delicious, you won't be disappointed. The restaurant is large with spacious seating for small and large groups. However, at peak lunch and dinner times this place will get packed and have long lines which is expected with the quality of food and service. Dave's Hot Chicken recently opened in Alabama and is located in Vestavia Hills. It is about 19 minutes away from me. I ordered the #3 which comes with one chicken tender, one chicken slider, fries, a couple of pickles, toast, and Dave's sauce and a small Cherry coke. My total was around $15. I would give this meal a 7/10, I think for the price you get more than enough food to fill you up, however I wish I got the #2 because two tenders is less overwhelming to consume than a tender and a huge filled sandwich. We tried this place for the first time yesterday. Overall good experience and would go again. The decor is casual and contemporary, with street-art style murals on the walls and high ceilings that give it a renovated warehouse vibe, despite being located smack in the middle of a suburban strip mall.
