Initially good to work with, but buyer beware! He made two sloppy careless errors on my returns and didn’t support resolution with IRS. Even though I gave him accurate information he essentially washed his hands of responsibility and resolution and I had to navigate the IRS and fix the issue myself.

Additionally, before filing any return, clients are provided with a massive instructions page explaining how their refund will be provided. As I recall, you also failed to inform us that you moved to a new address, so you signed a tax return with an old address! I would rate him zero stars but can’t he is money hungry firm that doesn’t care about his clients his customer services lies to you be careful the customer service tells you he knows tax laws in every state yes federal but not state tax law. They lie and say they are so expensive cause he is a cpa he is a cpa in New York so you are paying his overhead. Yeah he knows federal tax law in every state but doesn’t know state tax law. David looked over my last 4 years of taxes and found me an extra refund that TurboTax missed. They double taxed me because I live in a one state and work in another.
We had a unique tax situation because we lived abroad and wanted to use a CPA to help with foreign income. Would have appreciated if David took more time and care to answer our questions given the California tax code allowance for partial-year residents. We tried to ask clarifying questions, many of which came back unanswered. Ultimately, we went with Turbotax.

This was probably one of the worst business accounting consultations i have ever had,Rude , Arragant and unapologetic in his delivery, i would not trust hom viewing my personal finances, god forbid any private investment viewings ,i do not recommend using this asshole as a guide for your passions realizations, he is not worth a Damn!

Had an initial good chat with David, but the final numbers looked quite high. I tried asking asked about it, the answers were pretty evasive. Asked for a quick phone call and gave my availability, never heard back. Ended up hiring another CPA (very well reviewed here on Thumbtack) who saved me more than half the value David came up with.

I engaged with David on Thumbtack to help address a tax situation on a previous year return with CA. I had a poor experience communicating with David. He stated he chose a different route and didn’t need my deductions but did not bother to inform me. He asked for information via email and I responded both times the same day but he claimed he never received it, this made a delay for weeks. When I shared my disappointment in dealing with him, he shamed me for being behind on my taxes and told me I was childish. Never once apologizing for the delay or lack of communication.
