Caring and very professional doctor to include the entire staff.
Dr. Castaneda and her staff are awesome. It’s great to know that an injury doesn’t have to be a thoroughly unpleasant experience. From what to expect to here are the next steps, everything has been clearly communicated and honestly explained. No surprises at all, so all I need to worry about is rehabbing.
Dr. Castaneda reviewed the X-rays taken by the emergency room and knew right away that surgery would be my best option for achieving maximum use of my broken ankle. She got me scheduled for surgery ASAP, communication was clear and easy to understand. Her team has also been great to work with, responsive and the coordination of care with other services needed (mobility scooter, ice therapy machine) seamless. Caring compassionate doctor who listens!!! I’ve had three surgeries with her and each time I’ve left her office I feel like I’ve had the best care!!
Some have said to me , “It’s a miracle your still here and doing so well?” Which personally is rude to say to any person. To make a short story long (lol) I have survived stage 4 Leukemia which led to a brain tumor which led to 4 years of chemo to Ovarian/Cervical cancer to acute osteoporosis to 17 surgeries fixing several fractures (thnx chemo) Here is the Great part! Extremely professional but also considerate and caring. Dr Castanada was the only Doctor who suggested a preventative step to my surgery which if not fixed at the time would have led to further surgery. The procedure went well according to Dr Castanada's planning.
Dr. Castaneda has been very friendly and professional. She went over everything she was going to do and explained it in a way that I would understand. She answered all of my questions and took as much time as was needed to ensure I was comfortable with her answers. I never felt rushed or unimportant. She is a fantastic Dr. If I ever need another procedure she will be the first person I call.
Dr. Castaneda performed surgery on my broken foot. She explained the type of fractures I had, explained what the x-rays and cat scan revealed, and explained my treatment options. She did not push surgery but took a balanced approach until the cat scan revealed additional fractures that made surgery necessary.
