I did a lot of research and had plenty of questions in making my upstairs deck weatherproof to lower deck when I installed new decking. Ed answered all my questions. I am a diy homeowner that needed to replace my decking and found this product while researching how to waterproof the underside of the deck. The representative answered all of my questions quickly and the system installation was very straightforward. We had several Oregon Coast winter downpours since then and I have not seen any leaks even with the thousands of screws that we drove through it for the new decking. I would definitely recommend this product.
I hadn’t used the product before and was going solely on the reviews I read. The DEK topside system was better than I hoped for. Product was easy to install as well. The people at DEK were very helpful as to getting the product quickly and making sure I had everything I needed. A great experience from start to finish! I received superb help in the design phase and the material shipped promptly and arrived on time. Even better was the follow up order after my guys accidently mis-applied some of the material- I was able to get what I needed expedited out quickly! The material was here fast! We removed the deck boards, cleaned up and installed the Dek drain. It was so easy and protected all the HVAC units below the deck. Being in upstate N.Y the employees salted the deck all winter which covered the units below destroying them in 2 years at a replacement cost of close to $90,000. This was the prefect solution. Rick
Our shipment came in 3 days from the time we ordered! Everything was there in the boxes. We did not have to call for any assistance...the instructions were complete. I had a contractor who actually did most of the work and he was pleased to see how easily it all got installed...especially since it was in the over 90 degrees outside and the humidity was unbearable. We had it done in one day and the deck is 32'x16'. Thank you for a nice product and great service.
