Dr. Rondeau is a nice man who, I think, means well, but, in my case, was unable to carry out effective treatment. What he says sounds good, but my experience was was very poor and caused more problems than what I started off with. My daughter became a patient of his for her overbite, and during one of her initial visits, I was told that they could help me with my migraines (I did not feel any joint pain or hear joint noise). My staff and I have tried to figure out the name of the patient who posted this review. Regarding the daughters treatment, the MARA appliance moves the lower jaw forward the 95% of the time helps prevent headaches in the future. The alternative way to treat is to extract upper teeth at the side and retract the upper front teeth which is much more likely to cause headaches in the future. TMJ? STAY AWAY. That is all I have to say. If you suffer from TMJ, we all understand the pain on a mutual level. Well, he puts you in more TMJ pain than you went in with and the hours they spend on the appointments, they have no real beneficial outcome, or answers. I feel bad for those who come from out of London to see this doctor. Pain comparable to child birth! The "Ferrari" model mouthguard that he made, concentrated the TMJ pain all on my front teeth and I had shooting nerve pains up face and couldn't work for days. After consulting several actual Orthodontists, I learned that Dr. Rondeau isn't even a qualified Orthodontist and has a pile of complaints with the regulatory authority for similar issues. Was not happy with Dr. Rondeau! Once he has your money - he has no time for you!! He’s the worst! My jaw is way worse than what it was when I came in - I am now seeing another doctor who is fixing my problem.

Had treatment done for over bite and turned into TMJ and with all the appliances left me with displaced jaw and deterioted jaw bone that causes alot of day to day problems and pain for me. Anything that forces your jaw into a position it doesn't want to be in causes trauma and a lifetime of problems.

Wow! Just finished my second apptn with this dentist and I have now paid over 800.00 for him to tell me how bad my TMJ is!! Great ! I assumed I would be leaving with some appliances for my jaw to find out I still need to pay for them at a whopping 4400.00!! Are you kidding me! He is not even a specialist, he cannot guarantee this and he gave me no quote on the first apptn which I spent 35 mins to wait for. His assistant is kind. The doctor is great. He explains everything throughly and makes sure you understand your options. The front desk staff are helpful at all. I was on a time framed problem. He told me I had 5 months to try and fix my problem and if it wasn't fixed by them the only other option was surgery. I was to have my fitting for my appliance 2 weeks after they made all the moulds. Stupid appliances used for unlocking jaw, the least to say, after we paid $4000 for this stupid appliances, we went to 2 different dentists, one of them professor , they both stated that we should keep this in the museum!! He have the worst technique ever to help TMJ issues, never waste your money and time.
