This doc really thinks he knows something and gosh darn it if I didn't believe him. Didn't take me long to realize he was creating a worse TMJ problem for me than I already had, not to mention the $$. Thankfully I found a skilled doc who has taken care of me. STAY AWAY.
Went for TMJ treatment following a trauma that displaced the discs. Paid over 4,000 for cheap plastic splints to be worn 24/7. Staff took numerous x-rays but almost all were illegible so exposed twice and then 3 times for new scans for new opinion. Dr Rondeau's medical reports outlining treatment summary contained numerous errors, unsigned and mailed to wrong treatment providers. Misdiagnosed me as having TMJ. Spent a lot of money on splints, mouth expanders and he eventually wanted me to get braces. There is nothing wrong with my jaw as I got a second opinion. It was a total waste of money and I drove two hours to see him.
Bad work bad dentist. Screwed up my jaw after years or braces. Then when I was on Ontario works refused to see me and sent me to another dentist even though HE was doing my braces. Now off welfare and have benefits but going to the new guy who cares about people not just $$$$$$$
In my opinion $$$$$$$$$$. He really really likes to talk about how good he is yet does not have the reputation to back it up. I personally would never go back. Currently being sued as he believes a single mom on disability should pay twice for a job that Northland Dental messed and could not themselves fix even though they claim to "be the best."
Not happy with Dr. Rondeau - he advised me to get this appliance - $4,000- I have nothing but problems with it!!! I will never go back to HIM!!!!
I went to Dr. Rondeau to see if something was wrong with my jaw. The beginning of the process was to xray my jaw and to test me for sleep apnea. The xrays showed no problem with my jaw. A machine was shipped to me to wear at home to test for sleep apnea....... then I was to send it back to be read. $1000.00 When I called his office to find out my results, his staff told me the machine had only worked for 2 1/2 hours. I would like to start by saying that Dr. Rondeau is asking all of his patients to go on this site and give a rating. He is also offering them gift cards to do so. I was told that the negative reviews on here were supposedly by disgruntled competition. Knowing what I know now, this is a load of hock. I went to Dr. Rondeau for TMJ and migraines. He claims he can help with bite and TMJ, but he has no orthodontic education. He claims that everyone gets unique treatment, but really everybody goes through the same process. All you get is top and bottom splint, if that will not help you at the door. Do some research, only 40% cases with TMJ are resolved by splints. Even if it helps this is only temporary solution.
