As a family that recently moved to the state, we asked friends if they knew a doctor that would accept our insurance and they suggested Dr Shepherd. I gave this office several tries and 6 months to see how the staff and office treated us as patients. By far, this is the worst doctors office we have been to. The first visit we had to establish care and get a referral took us 3.5 hrs before we were even seen! The times after that took 1-2 hours before we were seen. UPDATE My parents are elderly and since Covid has been an issue they don't go anywhere out of fear of catching the virus. Dr Shepherds office had called them several times trying to have them come in for blood work to be drawn. Everytime my parents received a call from Dr Shepherds office they would tell them they have no intention to come to the office because they were afraid of getting sick and stop calling. Dr Shepherd seems to be a good person although I never actually was treated by him. I was always seen by nurse practitioners. The plus is that his office accepts Medicare and Tricare insurance. The biggest problem is that the office really overbooks appointments. The times.that I have used his office, I have had around an hour wait to be shown to the exam room and then usually thirty minutes until a provider arrives. Seriously, what is the point of making an appointment?

I have been seeing Dr Shepherd for about 10 yrs. on my last 2 visits I had an hour and half wait in the room plus and I had an appointment! When I told him how long I had waited he just 'it's Friday'. The last visit all I needed was to get a referral. The time before that I had a sinus infection- I waited another hour and 1/2 - I stuck my head out the door and asked how much longer, she told me his associate had 3 more patients to see before me. I walked out

i think you guys deserve a zero-star, unfortunately i could not get any. Have never bee humiliated in my entire life like this before for issue that was literally not my fault. I planed for my annual checkup, scheduled an appointment with this clinic, got there early enough. only for them to pull up my record that im owning them $500+, i was shocked. have been using tricare all these years with them, i discovered they never bill my insurance, no one ever reachout to me that there was an issue all these months. Bad doctor, bad service. My dad came here, they gave him 3 kind of drugs. We came Walmart Pharmacy to pick up drugs. But they said they need to contact with doctor Samuel for drugs, because this is special drugs. They told us waiting few days. This important is he really need the drugs but its ok, we can wait. We're waiting almost 2 weeks. We come back Walmart Pharmacy, they said they try to contact by phone, email many time, but Samuel don't answer them. They can not give drugs for my dad. The first time that I came to Dr. Shepherd's office I met with him and started the weight loss program. Together we came up with a goal weight and he was very thorough in his explanation of all aspects of the program. When I came back to get my prescription refilled, I waited 30 minutes and then was seen by the nurse practitioner student. Save yourself from a headache. The office is very unorganized, poor customer service, they don't call out prescriptions and they send you bills asking you to pay when I had already paid my portion and my insurance too, they don't have no record that they have been paid? unorganized again. Then I email them proof of my paid receipt (not once or twice but several times) and I don't get any reply acknowledging my email, I have called their office to make sure they received my proof of payment and they put me on hold for a long ... read more

The service had gotten a lot better and I've been getting out less than 45 minutes. I still miss the old staff because they were more caring and concerning. I like that fact that I can get in and out in lead than a hour. Keep up the good work as far as time just help your patients feel like you're front office staff care. I still would like to see only doctor Dr. Tim Shepherd (the dad) because I know he cares about me and my wellbeing.
