It was me and my husbands first time visiting Scioto Downs. We were celebrating my husband passing his NREMT. We played for about an hour on the penny machines and spent 73.00. Didn't win anything but we had fun. We decided to try out the buffet. Worst mistake ever. Spent over 30.00 for us to eat and it was disgusting. The only thing in the entire place worth eating was the piece of cheesecake. I expressed this to the waitress who just shrugged her shoulders and walked off. We left and stopped Mcdonalds.
Try to stop by once a week , win some loose more . I would like to play for awhile instead of walking in spend a few hundred and walk out 20 minutes later feeling frustrated. Watching the ponies run is nice and a good evening to have fun .
Was there racing my horse was somewhat disappointed in the care and mantenience didn't visit the casino this time but never win anything may not go back
I have been going to Scioto Downs since their opening. I have always been getting free play. I called and they said talk to marketing. I called and called and no response. Whats up with the regulars. Not too happy right now.
I hesitated giving it a 3, almost gave it a 2. Promo money is a joke, it now costs to eat at the buffet, the women's bathrooms reek of urine, and the odds of winning (meaning getting more money than what you spend) have went down. I have been patient with the new company taking over but I'm about done being patient.
Haven't been there in 2 years. Like the gambling part but we ate at the Dash Cafe and the worst chicken tenders I've ever had. Tasteless and over cooked.
I grew up.going to the races. Love the addition of the casino, the buffet is awful!!!!! Gambling is gambling, win or lose.
