Despite clear evidence of mold caused by multiple water leaks, Arbor/Elite Homes repeatedly denied its existence. A third-party mold inspection company, hired by Arbor/Elite Homes, confirmed mold contamination in our home, and I personally witnessed the inspector removing mold. We love our new home in Twin Lakes, it is absolutely beautiful and we love the nature and the area. Elite has been really hard to work with though on fixing things that are wrong .After almost two years we still have not gotten things fixed from the original list we submitted. Which looks like now we will have to take care of them ourselves. A lot of our neighbors feel the same way. Elite is focused on the front-end process and closing on the home you are building. After you close, the maintenance department lacks professionalism and strong customer service. I've been waiting over a year and a half to have a drainage issue fixed. Empty promises continue to be provided, while I've had water leaks into my basement. All seem to go well till we came in for the design session. Amanda told us the our security company could come in to install the wiring before the drywall went up. At the center we were told no and that means the walks wiuk be cut into after everything was done. That would add the cost of a dry waller and painter to our cost. I came very close to walking out and terminating the contract.
Our experience with Elite has been in a word, horrible. ZERO communication, ZERO willingness to discuss changes during design even though they offer them, the irrigation has worked maybe 4 weeks out of the 16 weeks we've been in the house. The designers recorded a design feature wrong in their paper work, and after we had the price agreed to they said "hey, it was a mistake, but you have to give us another $3,000". The reality is my Elite experience and "premier" home build that is marketed is not what I received at closing. Moved into an Elite built home December 2021 after signing a contract in February. Many delays. Everything that goes into their "process" makes them hard to deal with...Every step of the way. First, A solid home requires a solid foundation which was not delivered. Our home in the Twin Lakes neighborhood is very low in quality. I've honestly lost track of how many issues we've had. Nearly every major system in the house has given us problems: plumbing, electrical, foundation, flooring, etc. The latest issue is a leaky basement. During heavy rain we've actually had water enter and drip from our electrical cabinet.
