First Impression I was not impressed with the cleanliness of the hotel elevator or hallways when I arrived at the hotel. It looked like the elevator had not been swept or hallways had not been vacuumed in days. That caused me to inspect my room with intensity. I am already paranoid because i once worked in a hotel and know what the standards of clean are so for the first thing to see is a dirty elevator and hallway turned me off to extended stay. Outdated, yet clean. It was a nice clean room, however it was much smaller than it appeared. It was hard manuevering around the bathroom door and very tiny kitchen area. Pretty well outdated and there were absolutely no frills. For example, I would think they would at least leave some dish soap under the sink. You could get it at the front desk, but would be nice to have at least one packet handy already. The location was superb however for where I needed to be.

Nice, clean, roomy The room was nice and clean with plenty of room. Only 2 pillows were provided and I would have liked a third. The sink was in the bathroom but I prefer it outside so that both of us could get dressed in the morning.

poor choice for non-smokers We are non-smokers. The hotel reeked of cigarette smoke. This is very undesirable for us and we would prefer a 100% no-smoking hotel. The hotel appeared to be in poor repair, however, we did hear from the desk clerk that you were remodeling the hotel in the near future. This is desperately needed.

Good place to stay for a reasonable price I have stayed at this hotel more than once. The front desk personnel were helpful and friendly. I liked having the kitchenetee available to use. Wi-fi is available for a modest one-time fee.

Value for your buck This hotel is not the Taj, obvously. But it exceeded our expectations. For an aged hotel, we found it to be very clean, comfortable, and safe. We faced the back, and it was extremely quiet. The statff was unbelievable; particularly Lucus. We stayed at the hotel for my daughter's college visit; if she decides to go to school in this city, we will become regulars. If you like Mexican food, go to Fiesta's about three miles away by the Kmart (very tasty and inexpensive).
