Detroit The place is geat. Basic cheap hotel. It was clean, but the cleaning products give off a foul odor. I can't recommend this place until they fix the odors and replace the hallway carpets. They hallways looked pretty shabby THe front desk closed at 11pm, and the front door was unattended throught the night

kitchenette We have never stayed at this hotel chain before. it was not the Hilton but We would stay again. we found it interesting that they were called efficiency suites. we really enjoyed the kitchenette. It have a sink, stove top, microwave, dinner wear, and a full size fridge! it reminded us of an apartment dwelling. i am guessing that all Extendastays are like this and for the price it was just what we needed, just a bed, bath and even a ktchenette. Extended Stay America Detroit - Madison Heights The TV cable did not work the second day, when we called the desk they tryed to help on the phone, that did not help. They had no person to repair or fix the problem, no extra equipment, no extra rooms to change, then they ask me to call the cable company to report the problem, we did, they did call back, so no cable for the second night and day. no TV only complaint was that the TV was not working - maintance man was off for the weekend and manager was not available to help w/ changing room and we would have to wait for 2 hrs. which was not possible as we had places to visit, etc.

great location for christmas shopping Our trip was to include Christmas shopping and some church business. The hotel was very easy to find off the freeway. It was a few minutes from a couple malls and just a couple more from our church activity. Very cool. The atmosphere inside the hotel was peaceful and quiet. We got our pick of which floor to stay on. Great Room for the Money This hotel building seems a bit older, but it was clean and the staff was friendly.
