Good for visiting family and friends. If you are ever travelling and needs some flexibility, I recommend Extended Stays in general. They offer large rooms and a small kitchenette - especially if you have young children like we do, the full-sized refrigerator, sink, and cooking facilities make it easier to stay somewhere on a limited budget. The location is surrounded with lots of great restaurants and is only a little under 2 hours from St. Augustine and Jacksonville beaches. needef a hotel for UF Graduation In town for daughters graduation. If there is nothing else available in Gainesville- then it would be ok to stay there. We had two rooms. The rooms show their age and room pictures on web sites do not adequately reflect the current conditions of the rooms. We arrived and there was no soap, no shampoo. Also they do not provide hairdryer in the room. You have to run down to get one if you need one. Night staff was nice though and beds were comfortable.

Always better than expected I've stayed at this hotel twice during quick trips to Gainesville and I am always surprised. The rooms are nicely renovated (dark wood laminate), the beds are firm and comfortable, and the shower has good pressure. I haven't used the kitchen area, but it seems great for long stays.
