Horrible experience Of the three rooms that I was in, the only one at did not have odors in the room and stains on the chairs was the one that did not have a working lock. When I could actually speak to an attendant they generally had no clue what was going on in the general area or even their own hotel. Will never stay here or at other Homewood locations again.

Homestead Kansas City - Shawnee Mission Was initially issued a hotel room that does not lock. Had to wait a while to be issued another room.

Homestead Studios in Kansas City I've stayed at other Homesteads in Kansas City but this one was the worst by far. The room looked alright when I entered but when I tried to use the stove it didn't work. Then when I tried to turn on the heater it only blew out cold air no matter how high I turned it. Lastly when I got into the bed the sheet has stains on them. Not a very good experience.

If you are sleeping only and you arrive before 10P Bed broken. Front Office closed on arrival. Phone to connect with overnight staff inoperable. After reaching a point of contact it took 15 min to get personal to fron t desk to check in. BTW arrival time was 11:45. Also, requested a non smoking room - smoking room provided.

Homestead Suites Shawnee Mission We were disappointed beyond belief with this experience!!! It was the worst hotel experience of my 42 years in life. We booked the hotel for our high school girls basketball team. The rooms were in totally separate areas of the buildings so no supervision could happen. Upon check-in, a person with a Johnson County penitentiary shirt (just released from prison) walked and started harassing our girls. Not a choice The place is OK for one night. For the amount I paid, I could have gone to another place, get beakfrast included, pool, and check out time at noon. The place was crowded and noisy. The area is great. Just the inside of the rooms tells you that carpet and furniture is not that recent or clean. Unfortunately this weekend everything was booked up in the whole metro area.

STAY AWAY!!! I have stayed in worse hotels than this one WHILE IN A THIRD WORLD COUNTRY! The first room I was given was dirty and had a broken air conditioner. There is no maintenance help on the weekend and I checked in on Sunday. The second room would not open to the door key. The phone didn't work in the third room, but I had paid through Travel Website and couldn't get a refund. My room had ants... fortunately, I wasn't charged extra for them.
