Homestead not Homey at all Not like the pictures for sure. Not all the stuff advertised (no hair dryers, fry pans, shampoo, and toilet paper almost gone) Lumpy pillows and the two beds were at different levels like one was missing a mattress

Not so nice in Shawnee Mission I used to live in Shawnde Mission some 12 years ago a rememer this hotel....I had to c ok me back in town which I do infrequently..However this time was for a funeral. I wamted a nice place to stay in yet reasonable..I found this place on line and thought it cant be bad because of its pr ok me location. I was wrong...wrong..wrong. Won't be back We noticed a smell when we opened the door and found mildew all around the tub in the grout. We went and bought Lysol to disinfect before using the shower. Some tiles around the shower were bulging fromthe wall. The beds weren't bad, the fridge was clean but had something left in it from a previous guest. Saw a couple of bugs and cobwebs in the corners. Obviously management doesn't check the rooms very often. We shopped price this time and the price was right but we'll pay more somewhere else next time.

Door did not lock. Terrible service. Will no clean rooms. You have to take towels down to get clean towels. Half of roll of toilet paper in room and they act as if you are putting them out to get one. No shower curtain in shower. A/C does not cool very well. Once your here you can not get out of stay.

won't go back Upon arrival the lobby was dirty. It looked like it had not been swept for weeks. Everything in the room was extremely dated and not especially clean. I was afraid to use the chair and ottoman that was provided. After taking my shoes off and walking across the floor one time, I then sat on the bed. Dirty The desk staff was helpful. However the room had ants, a strange--gooey blue spot in the carpet between the beds (I stepped in it wearing socks!). There is no fan in the bathroom and the bed was butted against the air conditioning. The sheets were itchy and the towels smelled like they had not been washed (wet mildew smell). I would not recommend this hotel--such a shame, it does have a reasonable sized kitchen with a fair sized fridge. If they would clean it properly it could be so nice.

Very disappointed. Room reeked of smoke, no shower curtain or door, cigarette holes in furniture, room was very hot when arrived, bed had a sharp steel post sticking out underneath, key did not work the first time.

don't do it Even through I got a non-smoking room the cigarette smell was awful. And the sheets and spread had burn holes in them. The fridge leaked water and there was somekind of mold on the ceiling in the bathroom. The A/C was either off or on - it would regulate. I paid in advance for 2 days but had to leave because of the smell.

Nice neighborhood Dead bolt lock didn't work. Safety latch was broke. Propped a chair in front of door for safety. We had 3 adults and only had 1 coffee mug and 2 drinking glasses. Hotel staff was friendly.
