Bad odor The hotel smelled like old cigarette smoke an food.

You get what you pay for If you don't mind kids running and skateboarding thru the hallways and the cooking odors from every room melding into an acrid permeating stench then you'll be okay. The place is a long-term "Suite" type of motor inn for traveling tradesmen and temporarily displaced families. The staff, while friendly enough, is mostly very young and not that eager to please - and quite boisterous. Don't judge by the outside The outside of the hotel was very nice. The inside was very bad. Not only was it run-down but it was also dirty. Repairs were shoddy. The bathroom had hairs on the floor and on 'clean' unused towels. We felt dirty AFTER showering. We actually scooted our feet across the floor on a towel instead of walking on it:(

Room dirty. Called front desk and told them that our sheets were dirty and they made us take the dirty ones off and bring them down there. They gave us new ones and we had to put them on ourselves (and those were thread bare and badly stained)! Beds very uncomfortable. Breakfast consisted only of coffee, bagels and grits. Would never stay here again.

Never again Hair on bathroom floor from multiple people if you know what I mean, they offered to switch rooms but too tired to play musical rooms. Next day lock stopped working, maintenance never showed, thank goodness someone was still in room to let me in. Mattress felt old and hard.

Nice folks Kitchen was clean, bathroom was clean, room was clean except for fleas and smelled of animals. Smoke filled our wing and we had to walk through it to get to our room. I was told that first two floors aren't bad but I didn't check to see. This is an extended stay hotel so folks live there for long periods with their pets and cigarettes. It was nice to have laundry facilities and we felt safe there. Staff was nice and helpful. Breakfast was bagels and grits with coffee, milk and juice.

The Homestead in Jaceksonville, Fl It smelled awful and there were people who actually lived there. The linen smelled and looked awful there were no soap and the whole building smelled like smoke. Sincce I couldnt gedet my money back I didnt stay and I reported to the manager that their hotel was unsanitary.

What was that Smell?!? Check in was good. No problems. We booked a non-smoking room and were sent to the 3rd floor. The moment the elevator door opened we were hit with a the smell of smoke. We had to walk through the "wall" of smoke to get to our room. The moment we opened the door the smell hit us. It was a combination of urine and rotting food.
