Why The bed was small , and why have to pay for soap?

The hotel is under renovation and they are doing a really nice job. I requested a non smoking room however and that was not met. My whole travel bag smells like an ashtray now and I can't breathe well. I requested to move but they said it was the only room available.

We had a very good stay with this hotel we moved here for my husbands work and we had to stay at this hotel till we found a house and they made us feel right at home
