Stayed at the Extended Stay Columbia on my way home from a long road trip. Hotel was in a safe, quiet area. Room was clean with no frills - it suited my needs for the night. The wood floors in my room threw me off a little as I am used to carpeting in most hotel rooms. Had a little bit of a funky smell (maybe a former smoking room?, but no complaints!

A Clean, No-Frills, Cost-Saving Hotel for a Night The staff were very polite. After entering the front, the building had something of a weird vibe, in that it is very poorly laid out. However, once we got past that, indeed the room had just been re-done, and it was tidy. In our room (319), one of the bedside lamps was broken. One overhead light was burned out. Tried to check in about 2 PM (1 hour before initial checkin); was told there would be a $25 early checkin fee even though the room was ready. I’ve never seen this before and was disappointed. There were about 4 employees sitting there doing nothing. Just came back later. Breakfast was a bowl of granola bars and a pot of coffee
few bed bugs and couple of spiders in the bathroom were a not so welcome experience
