Everything but reception is superb Great hotel, cleanest and most comfortable hotel that I have stayed at through out the 2 weeks business trip. Great location, 10 mins drive to old town Alexandria. The reception can use a little more friendliness, but considering she was there 8pm when I checked in and still there 9 in the morning next day, I can understand how sh*tty the graveyard shift on the weekend can be. Over all, I was very satisfied.
Outstanding Location It was peaceful and very well maintained location.
Great Quality for even an overnight stay Given Alexandria VA is a pricey area for hotels, finding one so reasonably priced was a godsend. This one, though, had more than regular hotels. It had kitchen amenites, including plates, bowls, cups, glasses and silverware. And a big fridge, too. Location is a mile or so to the nearest Metro line. In good weather, this is a nice stroll. Ample parking. Clean room. Friendly staff. Excellent value for the price.
Nice Stay with exception of noisy doors Loved the room, loved the person at the front desk. But the individual room doors "slammed" themselves shut if you didn't take the time to catch them before closing. Needless to say - I woke up at various times during the night from people entering or leaving their room. Very disturbing night's sleep......

Staff left a lot to be desired Only one front desk employee working at any given time. This made my check in take about 30 minutes, as i had to wait for a walk-in customer's entire booking to be completed. My name was correct on my reservation, but my mailing address and phone number were completely different, i pointed it out to the front desk clerk, and he brushed it off. Then he asked for a credit card, which I assumed was for incidentals...except he then gave me a bill to sign for $180? I told him that i had already paid... read more
