Extra Space Storage fill my needs for climate controlled storage. Office staff extremely helpful.
Until the mouse droppings, this was our go to storage solution. Had to throw some belongings away because of mouse urine. The lack of remorse indicates the employees and likely the brand find it acceptable. Gross

The initially put the monthly price as discounted, but beware its a trap and manipulative as they will increase the price by 40 dollars in 3 to 4 months to the going rate. So it's best to research storage places that won't do this and leave you stuck because it would cost more to remove all your stuff into another unit. READ THE FINE PRINT

Very clean and easily accessable but the rates were outrageous. Fees doubled over two year time.. I will not recommend to any one due to the fees yearly increases.

I like that you can get access later than 6 pm. Good luck trying to get a person on the phone. I kept getting looped back to the start of the automated message because no one would answer when I pushed the option to speak to a representative. Finally got in the car and drive over. Once at the facility I dialed the number posted near the door and got an immediate response. If I hadn't already had one storage unit at the facility I never would have been so patient trying to get a second unit. They really need to improve ... read more
Have had a temperature controlled storage unit with them for 2-3 years now. For the first year they give you a special rate which is industry standard, then the next year the rate will increase and that is understandable. Now they are raising the rate again, where is the loyalty to the people that have been with you? Very disappointed.

Not Good - Has done nothing but raise our rates since we rented a storage unit. Our rent has doubled in the last year. Not a reputable place. Find better storage elsewhere. Extra Storage is a rip off.
El Camino in Irvine location a nightmare.Paid on time but was given 4 days to move out and by email.Not even my husbands email.In over 8 years paid on time last month error on THEIR part had to fight for late fee removal.Escalated to DM Patty.Tom a supervisor said "dont do it she has no compassion you do not want her involved" My poor husband lost wages they knew I am in cancer recovery Deneen laughed was very rude.Patty swore we were not set to auto pay and yet they still charged my card.Refused to give us answers then blo... read more
Renters beware - I had property stolen from my unit there earlier this year. Very suspicious circumstances - looks like an inside job. I was late on my payment. Per the Extra Space Storage (ESS) guidelines, after about 30 days, the staff will cut off your lock, photograph your unit, and install their lock until you bring your account current (which I ultimately did).
