I reserved a unit online, and the office called me immediately to confirm. I went over to secure my spot on the same day. I was in and out in a flash. Customer service is great, and my unit is easy to get to. Storage can get a little pricey, but that is typical for the area. 4 Stars!
The customer service is great here. Sometimes it takes them a few days to get back to you by phone or email but they are diligent about meeting your needs. In person, they are friendly and helpful. The units are climate-controlled and didn't get very dusty. They have a loading dock if you bring in a big truck and a few doors to back your car into otherwise for easy access. This is one of the better storage facilities I've ever seen (and I've seen plenty). It's clean, well lit, routine maintenance is performed and the front office staff (Jennifer) is great. Generally office staff in these places are surly and/or ignorant - but she is neither and offers great customer service. (I can't speak for whoever is on duty when she is not.) After renting a unit here for less than 3 months, we got a tiny 3x3 card in the mail stating that they would be DOUBLING our monthly rate later that month. Turns out that means the rate is already pro-rated at the doubled amount at the START of that month meaning we already owed the higher rate even though we had immediately informed the office that this sudden rate increase was not ok with us and we were leaving. The site is run well, but the cost of my unit almost tripled in less than 3 years! For this reason, I would not recommend Extra Space Storage.

It has been a very stressful and disappointing experience! Rate increase without any notification happens on a regular basis while their online rates shown are much lower so I am currently looking for another storage facility to move out. I would NOT recommend this company in spite of their climate controlled facilities. August 19, 2023 At 9:00 pm EDT, I was setting up my storage facility and while moving around my belongings I found a dead roach. I don't know how long that roach had been there but I was appalled. Before I continue with this recent horror, let me update you on the matter from earlier this month. I spoke to the temporary manager and then the permanent manager Carlton. We are currently dealing with a mice problem in our attic, so decided to temporarily put our things in a storage unit. It was very easy to book the unit online, and the manager called to confirm I was set with the unit and see if I had any questions. Beware the rate change if you took the low rate offer online. After a few months, I got a postcard informing me of a 100% price increase. LOL. I assume they hope you load it up and won't want to go through the hassle of moving out. Unfortunately, this whole industry is probably operated this way. I will move out and keep rolling into new low intro rates if that is the game they play.
