Martin made for a quick and painless check in. I only needed storage for a month while rearranging things while my partner moved in. We got half off the first month, even though he knew I only wanted one month total. The units have doors that swing open, which I prefer to the units with roller doors, because items can shift or fall and jam the roll door... not the case with these! So after paying only $56 bucks for a month of use of 5x5xfull height storage unit, I moved out easily, thanks to the controlled access parking ... read more

This facility is great! It feels safe and secure; well maintained; friendly staff; and the best part is you can unload within the garage, so if it's raining, which it was when I was unloading, your stuff doesn't get wet. The only drawback is the neighborhood is a bit shady. There was a girl on drugs stumbling and rambling on the streets with no bottoms on, and a sketchy neighbor asking if any of our stuff was for sale as we were unloading it. Other than that, I'm pleased.

Martin is great! Super helpful and friendly. He goes out of his way to get you all that you need and gives you all available options in a non-pushy manner. Great security in and out. Which is great because there's a shady crack house next door.

First let me start off and say that this was going to be a one star review... I called their corporate location on Monday to set up a 5x5 space with the first month free as part of their promotion. My information was taken down, I gave my credit card information and was told I was being charged a $10 deposit fee, and everything seemed to have been taken care of. I told the customer service rep. that I would be going in this week and she said that I can go in whenever I want and they will have my information and reservation ... read more

I am actually happy to write a positive review for a "storage" facility such as Hollywood's Fountain St. location. When I started with the facility two years ago I had the pleasure of working with a "Kenneth" (since relocated to another Extra Space Storage facility), "Martine", ( manager currently still there) and of course that wonderfully understanding customer service team who made the difference in my case. There's a weird kind of Algebra with city life. When you live intown, you typically spend more for your rent than you do elsewhere, and in return you get less space. That often means that you need to find storage space...which also follows the same "get less for more" pricing. After LOTS of research, this location is perhaps as good as it gets for the Los Feliz/Silverlake/East Hollywood area. Beware! Prices can jump overnight. I visited one day and called the next to book, only to find the rate had already gone up. They never disclosed to me that pricing might change & refused to honor the original quote. It felt like a bait-and-switch. Very poor communication and disappointing customer service.
