This location I had a bad experience with pest. Specifically rats in climate controlled unit and building had rat droppings everywhere. Also a female representative accused me of leaving cat food out at location. However, upon further investigation, a woman had access on site and was to blame. I also have researched that other storage companies in the area have better and reasonable monthly rates compared to Extra Space rates. I rented a unit at what I considered to be a great price. The location was good enough. I paid the agreed upon amount with auto-pay so there has not ever been a problem with payment. After just 2 months the payment for the 3rd month was almost doubled. I feel like this was a bait and switch deal.

The manager on greenway and 35th Ave is Rude Caddy and Unprofessional. I Moved in October and now I am moving out. I also had a unit at the Metro center location That location calls the cops on you if by chance you have an issue and are not able to be completely off property at 10pmFrom my businesses to my personal use I always have storage units and in the past 20 years this company by far has been the worst not to mention more money than most. NEVER AGAIN So save yourself now go somewhere else.

Having used Extra Space Storage 2 additional times, I purposely asked how frequently their rates increased when I was shopping for a storage unit. I'd called the main number for Extra Space and was told that yes, the rates do increase every quarter but they would never be more than 10%. "Are you sure?" I asked and was told "yes". I've been renting a storage space for less than four months and rates are increasing by 10%. Believe all the negative reviews about rate gouging they are true. If this happens again we are out.

I'm at my storage unit it was broken into off the tracks and a lot of my stuff missing so I will leave it cause I can't close it but I can see down the road in the office the guys ignore me Play Pathetic

This company is the worst. After convincing me to lease a storage unit and giving me a monthly price that was competitive and affordable, Extra Space Storage on Bell Road in Phoenix increased my rate by 40% after just four months. No explanation was given for this steep increase and no warning was provided that they would bait and switch with their rates. Do not use extra space storage! Your property is not secure. Damage was done to my personal property, they have cameras pointed right at my property but refuse to give any information to me without the police requesting it. The space next to mine where the damage occurred has a rental contract with extra space and that is why they will not give me the information. They will protect the larger customer. I hope people check here before signing up with them. It's the same in all the comments, they suddenly jack up your rate, ours was 20%. This after being there just four months. I will be reporting them to the AZ Attorney General as the automatic price hikes should be in the contract. It's a pain to go somewhere else, but I was able to trim our bill $100. Put a little more time in looking and DON'T go to Excessive Charging Storage.
