Your rate will go up a few time a year. Staff not the nicest and will argue with you about using trash bin.
Basic storage place. Environment-controlled, but not air-conditioned. No complaints about the facility or the staff. They're all pretty nice. What bothers me the most is that my rent has gone up twice this year. It started out at $31 a month plus $8 a month for Insurance. Exactly 13 months from my first day, rent will have gone up to $48 a month plus $11 a month for insurance. And no, they don't allow you to use your own renters insurance. Total ripoff!! I have had a covered storage for just over a year for my trailer. Started at $134 per month, 4 months later they jacked it up to $157, now 5 months later they jacked it up again to $181 per month. When I inquired with the manager as to why, he said oh there are increases twice every year!! I'll be moving out 2 days before the deadline next month and never use Extra ripoff again.
On March 12 I emptied out one of my storage units at 3770 E. Bell Road that I have kept there for 2 plus years. I had rented an indoor climate-controlled unit as I was storing sentimental items and books. To my horror - ugh - one of my boxes of books had been attacked and destroyed by termites. Some of the books are irreplaceable - such as a college yearbook. Upon notifying the office as soon as it was discovered, I was told the company would contact me quickly. Horrific management associate. Ignored my presence, made excuses for his error then made excuse as to why he was unable to assist. Cannot reccomend this location simply because of office personnel, do not want to run into him again.
