Got a great deal with a few months at a reduced cost. They were very friendly and helpful and worked to give me a location that would be easy for me to load. The place is incredibly clean! Very safe and convenient. I highly recommend this brand new facility for your storage needs.
This is a review of Extra Space Storage at 11123 SW 68th Pkwy Tigard, Oregon. When I signed up for a 10x10 storage unit, I didn't hear them say that it was a promotional rate for four months (my fault for not asking about the future rent increases). They did tell me that IF the rent was raised, I could negotiate for a lower rate. Alas, when the four months expired, the rent went from 155 to 255 per month (which included modest insurance). When I first started with extra space storage they were very accommodating, I was told my price of 53$ month wouldn't go up for a year. However after 4 months it went to 80$+, then it went to 106$. I just spoke to Jeff (I think that-is what he said), he was extremely rude and very combative. He ended up hanging up on me. He also stated no on would tell me the price is good for a year. Very nice and clean facility. Their introductory rates are a little on the high side as compared to other facilities. I was shocked when they raised my rent by nearly %30 after just four months. Price hikes that steep, that soon are completely unacceptable. Luring people in with low introductory rates to then turn around and jack the prices up is an unethical and predatory tactic. Bait and switch warning to all! The only way to secure a rate is to pay 12 months in advance. Otherwise you're on a month to month with a 30 day notice of rate changes. I got a 10x10 for $209, after 2 payments they jacked my rate to $289; 27% increase in less than 90 days. Read the reviews, you'll see this is a standard practice for them. I wish I had read the other reviews before renting from this location. Introductory rate of $116/month was very competitive until they raised the rate 70% after only 3 months. Yes, I get it, it's month-to-month, but this is without a doubt bait and switch and should be illegal. When I called to ask why my rate increased $80 after 3 months and without notice, I was told they review the rates often and adjust to market. I don't often use storage, I stopped by for a pickup order from Chalice, gotta get through these holidays :). If you have been you know it's pretty tight parking. It was busy, and all spots were filled so I thought, because it's just a pickup I guess it's not a huge deal to borrow their parking for a few minutes. Previous review: I am not sure what has transpired here...but I helped my Aunt move into one of their storage units a few months back with the assistance of the Property Manager Anita... ANY time I needed anything, she or her assistant Brian were on premises to assist... now...Anita is not there... as a matter of fact, NO ONE is ever really on premises. The one time I was able to see someone, they were not wearing masks, nor were they practicing social distancing!!! It is a good thing that my Aunt and I were wearing a mask.... read more

DO NOT USE THIS STORAGE FACILITY! They quoted me $220 for the unit upon move in a year ago and after I moved my items in, they have increased my rate THREE TIMES in NINE MONTHS and it is now $385. Absolutely criminal, their bait and switch tactic of getting business as they realize how difficult it is for people (particularly during covid) to mobilize and move their items out.
