I called the number that was left in the response to my review and a message was taken. The "owner"was supposed to call me and that never happened. That has been about 3 weeks ago. The lack of customer service is bad all across the board. If the "owner" cares little enough about her business that she has such a rude and unprofessional on site manager, it doesn't shock me that there is no interest in knowing what is happening at this location.

Bait and Switch! We got a great online price at the Dinah Shore Palm Desert location and moved in. Moving in was a breeze and we were very happy. Within 3 months, they raised our rent from $257 to $303/month! Amazing how they waited until we were all moved in AND after we wrote our first review, before raising the price. Our only choice now is to rent a truck and move out, or pay the increased rate. We feel completely PLAYED!

I have no problem with the facility or the employees it's the people at the top who make things difficult for regular folks...When I rented a space I was told that particular space did not qualify for first month free however it just so happened they had a special going for a discounted rate if I wanted it So I signed up bought a lock (from the sales lady) then was told I had to also purchase insurance. I will start my review by saying that the facilities are clean. The units are well maintained and for the most part staff is very helpful. My biggest or only complaint I have is the lighting in the facilities appear to be on very short timers. The past two weekends I have been cleaning out my storage unit of old and used items - that I've probably kept for too long. I spent about 4 hours last weekend and another 3 this Saturday. Don't fall for it! Yes Arianna was a sweetheart when I obtained two storage units. One was a climate controlled unit and the other was not. Well, people beware when they say climate controlled "Units". They are not! I found this out when I moved out my stuff and it was sweltering hot inside. I reported it to Arianna who claims they just started having problems with the air conditioning??? The facility is clean, climate controlled and available for entry at almost all hours. But it has become frustrating (infuriating) that the availability of carts to move items is almost nil - I spend more time trying to find a cart than moving items in and out. The office claims that carts are being stolen and management is unsure about replacing carts which are a "courtesy" to renters- Hey, management - carts are a necessity! Do not put your things in this storage. My rent has gone up 3 times in a little over a year. Their reason? Insurance rates. Absolute bullshit.
OMG. RATE KEEPS GOING UP AND UP.... I have now paid over $15,000.00 - Do yourself a favor and throw away your stuff. What I have in there is probably worth $10,000.00
Let's start out by saying that the facility is clean and well maintained and the staff has been helpful and easy to work with. My problem is that I rented a space four years ago at $100/mo. Since then there have been increases in my monthly rate about every six month and the latest raised my monthly rate to $175/mo. That is a huge increase in rent and certainly not warranted by any increases in expenses or inflation. I seriously doubt that their costs have increased by this amount.
