I like this storage unit, but I don't like the constant price increases. I had to move units 4 times within the same facility since they offer better pricing of more than 50% my current amount for new leases and jack up the price on those who have been there a while and pay their rent on time. It's like they punish good customers by charging them more. They clearly don't care about those of us that have been there for years. I will rent elsewhere going forward. Besides doubling my rent unexpectedly, I never had any problems here. It's a shame the owners decided to get greedy, because I packed my stuff up and left, and will not be back, after that. Been here for over 2 years, and never missed a payment, and all of a sudden the amount coming out of my checking account AUTOMATICALLY, doubled. No thanks. They're reasoning: we're charging market rates now. Ok, bye.

Renter beware. This place has a thief either working for them or associated with them. When Paul was the previous property manager, we never had a issue and I felt comfortable storing our things there. We had that unit with him for almost 2 years. When we closed out, we were satisfied. This past august we had to get a unit again and naturally went back there. Paul was no longer there, instead it's Christina. Do not rent here. Someone broke into our storage and stole all of our kids Christmas gifts. There was no visible damage to the door or lock but somehow got in and left a backpack full of tools inside and locked up behind themselves. The police took the tools to "fingerprint" which I doubt they will and the "insurance" that they insist you buy won't cover because there was no forced entry. So in their words it's not a break-in and they don't have to cover our loss, so not only did I have to rush to the store just a couple day... read more

Before I tear into this company's shady business shenanigans, I just want to say that Paul Hirsch, the assistant manager, is a pretty nice guy. It's a shame he has to work with such a questionable company. Everything started great with a phone call to the general customer service number. They assured me that if I were to get a unit on the second floor, every Extra Space storage has a large elevator for large furniture. Take them at their word, right? While the facilities are clean and taken care, I have NOT been satisfied with the lack of information disclosure. I recently found out that my renter's insurance covers items stored in a storage facility. I've been paying $13 per month for "mandatory" insurance, when I was already covered for my personal property through my own insurance - something the storage leasing agent failed to disclose when I first went to get the unit over two years ago and AGAIN when I upgraded to a bigger unit this summer. The price they give you online is not the price when you get there. They add on mandatory monthly insurance, and you have to buy their lock for the space. I got out and into another space within a few days. I would not have even put the stuff there if I had more time :-/

Thanks for sharing your feedback with us, Charlea. Please know that our insurance is optional if you have homeowner's insurance that already covers your belongings. Our policy requiring locks is for the safety of our customers' belongings. We do not require customers to buy their lock from us.
Be careful, they will bait & switch you. Add an extra $22 for an admin fee + mandatory insurance of minimum $13. I can't believe I fell for this.

Careful with this place! Its a good price online, then the price starts going up a few months after. I was on a 10x10 unit. At first you think you got a good deal, then you have to get their Insurance that makes it go up. When there were the 2 girls working there I gave it a 4 stars, but then these 2 guys took over about 2 1/2 years ago. I switched to a 8x8 because my price was going up again.
