This was the absolute worst experience ever, total bait and switch I started off paying $55.00 for a 5X10 unit which was great after 6 months they tried to double it and my card was on auto pay so they charged my card without authorization I called and complained and they said the best they could do was $70 I Hesitantly agreed because all my stuff was already there then after a year of paying $70.00 They slapped me with $133 charge for that little 5x10 unit I was paying $55 for originally so I loaded my truck up and got all ... read more
By Kevin Walker This is the worst place to rent a storage unit. Most of my belonings are ruined because of mice. Not just one or two but I have trapped probably over 50 mice in my unit. Its disgusting. You can get a climate control unit at Public Storage for half the price I was paying for outside unit at Extra Space. Never again. If I could choose no star I would.

After moving everything in for 6 days i have just been told i have to clean footprints off of the parking lot in front of my unit every time i am here or will be evicted. I asked for a refund and was refused. That's $250 i just got ripped off for not to mention the $400 to $500 i spent on transportation moving in. I rented a storage unit with them for at least 5 - 6 years. I did not remember that you would have to contact them before you move out because the bill is prorated. The money was paid on the 13th; I moved out on the 16th. They state they have no way to refund once it paid. All stores refund; not a very good excuse. $140 for 3 days. Store somewhere else where they give refunds.

This is not the place to rent a storage unit. They charged me and over charged for a month I did not use just because I didn't give a ten day notice. I tried to speak to the manager and she was really rude to me. Then when I cleaned out my unit. my unit had rat shit and chewed on some of my important stuff I had in my unit. This place treated me with disrespect and I will never in my life ever rent from this place again. Do not rent from this place u will regret it. U been warned.

I rented a unit at the E. Stockton facility and that evening while putting my stuff inside, my car battery died after leaving lights on to see inside storage unit. It was after hours (8pm) which the gate locks at 10pm. I needed to ask if my roadside assistance came (AAA & Progressive) would they be able to get in/out if after 10pm. Before I begin, note that I've been a continuous customer for 5 years. The units are clean, security is good (even do lock checks in AM). Cons: And these aren't rants. Had a storage unit in West Sac. I made the mistake of missing my December 12 payment. On January 15 I called to make a double payment and assumed I would have a $15 late fee, which I did. Not only did they charge the late fee, which I do not dispute, they added an $85 lien fee. Mind you I was 33 days late. I did not even receive a late notice in the mail.
