The RUDEST! Women "helped" me with my incorrect storage bill and incorrect form of payment. 1. She answered the phone angry and in a low tone which is fine. Maybe she just wanted to go home. But either way, when I am trying to let her know my issues she is cutting me off mid sentence, talking over me, & not listening to a word I am saying. 2. Was originally Mini Pac and few years ago, was paying $170 a month, and was super clean. Has been over taken by Extra Space about 3 years ago, paying $250 now! It has turned into a homless storage unit. Trash is everywhere, and elevators urinated in. Cleaniness is gone.

We've been renting a storage unit and after 4 months the price of the unit was increased 100% from $96 per month to $198 without notice. On top of that the unit was broken into in broad daylight. The thief was caught on a surveillance camera but and the owner of the unit even saw him walking out. Nothing was done. When we called regarding the price increase we were told that the price goes up whenever they feel demand is up. Very poor business practice. both of my lockers have been broken into. apparently there are no systems in place to keep my stuff from being stolen. I even purchased Locks from them after the first break In that where suppose to be harder to pick (guess not!). would not recommend this place

The only reason I gave them a 2 star was because there was two people that actually helped resolve a couple of the issues I've had with this place and I believe it was Steven & Shamon(spelling?) that called me from HR or that were management that were very nice helpful. OUR UNIT WAS BROKEN INTO and what was more infuriating is that they didn't notify us when they already knew this was going on . They couldn't provide a reason as to why we weren't notified. I rented a unit less than three months ago. I just received a notice today that they are raising my rent 20% (to over $400). Ridiculous! I'll be moving out faster than I moved in. I'll be sure to bring my own cart since they only seem to have one or two in each building.

The San Pedro location is not good to deal with, in my experience. You'd be better off elsewhere. They raise the rent considerably without notice- the information they claim is "mailed out" is not received, the employees are just rude and condescending, the hours inconvenient. No way to contact management-you're forced through a phone loop of contacting the very employees you may be trying to complaint about, with no recourse. This place is kind of shady. I wouldn't use them. I've used them before got stuff stolen out of my storage unit

I was a customer for 12 years and it went from $200 to $300. The new management can't keep rolling carts available for customers. They won't buy more carts because the new manager said the customers will just hide them. Customer service went down and prices went up, so I finally emptied my storage unit.
