When I got this out of the box, my first comment was, "Whoah!" The tubes are very rigid and strong. Installation is a snap. They include many anchors and screws. Finding a stud, which is hard for some people is unnecessary. They could stand to be a bit stronger, but they'll get the job done. The attachment to the side walls is ingenious and maximizes the use of the closet and simultaneously made the installation fast.
The EZ SHELF Expandable Closet Rod and Shelf was very easy to install.The product is strong and appears to be very durable but only time will tell, but based on the materials used I think durability won't be an issue. They now offer a silver color so you have at least two color options instead of just white.
These shelves are easy to install and function great. The 1st shelf that had just clothes and small stuff worked great, but my 2nd shelf that I used to hang coveralls and heavy weight coats seemed to droop a little, but has not broke. Overall I would recommend this to anyone looking for a good quality shelf for a closet or work room.
I have installed a lot of wire shelving, and used a lot as well. All were flimsy and sometimes pulled out of the walls over time, and they also are not very attractive. Wire shelving I have found difficult to install, having to cut the pieces to fit properly in most closets and also having to put a lot of fasteners in the wall.I tried these expandable shelves a number of years ago and loved them, but couldn't find them again. Good product but from a professional viewpoint, there are easier ones to deal with. One other problem for me was the lack of the round corners as opposed to the square ones. Does the job though. Very sturdy.
