Do not waste your time or money going to Fast Pace in Oakland… it is a racket. I had a sinus infection. Couldn’t go to my regular clinic, so I came here because I know my body and I needed to get antibiotics that day… or I would be going downhill fast. Basically wound up paying a co-pay and taking a 1/2 day off of work for a flu/covid test. (This was the only useful thing that happened there that day.) I had to wait back in a room for over a hour. This is ridiculous for urgent care. I have bronchitis every year and I know my own body and I should have had a X-ray of my lungs, but instead I was diagnosed with Covid. I still have bronchitis. I would never come back there. Also, there was a elderly man treated very rudely because he couldn’t use the computer and he had to leave.

Receptionist was very helpful. Nurse was very pleasant. The doctor was very resourceful.

The wait was very long even after having an appointment. It wasn’t packed , there was only 4 of us in the lobby. The staff was very nice and polite but when your are sick you want to be out of there as quick as possible.
The online app was ok minus it said there were no Telehealth appointments available to go to a Fast pace location in person. So I did and while waiting (an hour later) Fast Pace called saying it was time for my Telehealth appointment. 🤦♀️ I was already in their lobby and saw no point in switching things up. The clinic staff was nice and time wasn’t horrible (1.5 hours).
I registered on line for an appointment and still had to wait for over an hour. I was told it was because of staff shortage.
I was left inside a room for 35 mins for an employee to come in and tell me the doctor had an emergency and left. Would’ve been nice to know when the doctor left and not 35 mins later. When I expressed my concern, another nurse came out saying “ma’am, emergencies happen, it’ll be fine”. There was no sympathy considering I took off work to do a follow up appt that fast pace requested. I didn’t request to come back. I work for a car dealership and customer service is what I do. I don’t feel listened to anymore. Feels like a very rushed atmosphere. My daughter had high blood pressure when nurse checked and this was not typical for my child. The practitioner didn’t even know that until I told her. She said it was fine here at office. I said no mam, the nurse took it twice and said keep an eye on it and said to discuss with practitioner.
