DO NOT RENT FROM THIS BUSINESS!!!!! My American Airlines flight was delayed in Texas for more than an hour and by the Time I arrived in Miami, Fla, and took the shuttle to this car rental place, my car which I had reserved which was not picked up on time by me because of my delayed flight, had already been rented out to someone else. One star is more than this company deserves. They lie from the start and do not stand by their word. If you have an issue after you have received your rental, do not bother calling the customer assistance number. You will get nowhere. As much of a hassle as it may be, go straight bak to the car rental location and demand they address your concerns. We were overcharged for our rental. fox rent a car are scammers, dishonest and fraudulent. I rented a car for three days in Austin in May 2021, I opted for insurance and tank refill. The counter person asked if I wanted a toll pass *** $13/day, I asked what happens if I use less than $13/day, they advised you still pay $13/day. With other car rental companies, you receive a bill after the rental for any tolls, so I advised I would just pay the tolls once fox received the bill from the plate. Upon my prepaid rental pickup for an suv (that I already paid $650 in February) the woman at the desk (Deonica) told me that an upgrade would be an extra "$250" for which I interpreted it as $250 total cost and come to find out she charged me $250/ day for 10 days and never specified any of this and never told me the total. She then proceeded to tell me to "Scroll through and sign" the screens on the tab lying about what they were stating so I wouldn't notice the extra $4600 she charged me. I rented from Fox Car Rental in San Antonio TX for the duration of a work contract. I reserved a compact vehicle and when I arrived to the parking garage to get my vehicle I was shown a economy car that would not fit my luggage and it appeared to have a left front tire that was a donut with no hubcap. I said this is not what I reserved, the Fox representative stated that they no longer had compact vehicles, this is all we have. I rented a car from them at SLC airport. I walked in and there were three people at the counter, I went to this lady and she got all me details and everything. I asked her which car do I have she said its a mitsubishi outlander, I asked her if I can get a different car since I dont really like mitsubishi but she was like you can get a dodge durango. Our experience with Fox Rent a Car in Salt Lake UT was far from amazing. First, the guy who was actually helping us, Brynnen was pleasant and helpful. His GM was not. My dad and I had the same booking, through the same website, except he had the car for one additional day. We both booked a standard sport utility- jeep cherokee or similar. They of course did not have any jeep cherokees (surprise!). My dad was helped first. He was offered a Durango or 4runner. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS PLACE- so unorganized hidden fees!!! The told me my rental would be $297 turned out to be $700. They FORCE YOU TO get their insurance .. even if you have your own thats $18. They're reasoning was because they're not "a mainstream company " like hertz or budget. The rep also told me I needed the sun pass. I said I was driving from Miami to Doral. I was on vacation and didn't realize how close it was (9 minutes and no tolls" he told me there is for sure no way to get to doral without tolls. Complete liar!... read more

I rented a SUV from LAX fox rental. Paying 643 dollars for the 205 miles I drove in 17 days period The car's trunk was hard to use, the air was unpleasant and nauseating fragrance. This car got XXXXX miles with preexisting rear bumper damages. I took it because that was the only choice. My nightmare happened when I returned the car.
